Woodcock showing again towards the back of the pond in front of the Janet Kear Hide. The feeders are lively there with Reed Bunting, Brambling, Chaffinch, Greenfinch and Goldfinch. Assorted Tits are present as well as Great-spotted Woodpecker.
An adult European White-fronted Goose again with Greylag on the Mere.
Raven today, 3 Peregrine, Merlin, 2 Common Buzzard and Sparrowhawk.
A single Waxwing was seen perched on top of a tree in the garden of 31 Red Cat Lane. If you do stop to have a look, please respect the privacy of the householder along there. As it happens you'll be very lucky to see one as most of the berries have been stripped so the recent flock of ~30 (seen over a week ago) has moved on.
