Swans ice-skating!
The lake was almost completely frozen today! Words cannot describe this winter wonderland well enough, so here are some photographs by Graham Hann. Enjoy!
189 swans were recorded on the lake today, a mixture of new arrivals that have escaped colder weather further east, and the return of birds that had dropped in earlier on the winter but had been feeding at other sites in the area which are undoubtedly now frozen.
