Weekly Pollinator Walk
Learn all about WWT Slimbridge’s many bugs and insects on this weekly walk, with some handy take-away tips for your own garden!
Date and time: Tours run every Thursday at 10.30am, subject to availability. Tours last for approximately 1 hour. Please pre-book your tickets.
Meeting point: The walk will begin outside the Kingfisher restaurant with a brief introduction to WWT Slimbridge’s site and safety, before venturing out together.
Rachel is a passionate pollinator advocate and certainly knows WWT Slimbridge’s bug life! You’ll learn about many of the different bees and other insects that call us home, the horticulture that helps support them, as well as learning how we are on an exciting mission to create extensive new pollinator and bug habitat across the grounds.
Come and learn something new about our magical wetlands world, whether you’re new to WWT Slimbridge, or an old friend.
This is a relaxed walk with lots of time to ask questions, satisfy your curiosity and expand your perspective of our wider wetlands landscape, and the pollinators that call it home.
Whilst we think this event is best suited to those aged 10+, if you have a young budding nature lover who would enjoy this walk, they are welcome to join. If you’re bringing a child along with you, please do let us know their age when booking.
Cost: Included with admission to the centre. There is no additional charge for this walk.
