Wild Safaris

Flocks of Canada Geese (see above) flying in from the North and heading to our fields. Six Cranes, two Marsh Harriers, 4+ Hobby, 2 Kestrel, Buzzard, Sparrowhawk and a Peregrine. Great White Egret on the Severn at low tide with, 8 Pintail, 50 Shelduck, a Ruff, c15 small waders and 70 Curlew. Up to four Grass Snakes, a Small Copper plus Ruddy Darters and Migrant Hawkers.

Rushy Hide

Up to three Spotted Redshank, juvenile Little-ringed Plover, 8 Ruff, 3 Green Sandpiper, juvenile Redshank, 14 Lapwing, 6 Snipe, 8 Pied Wagtail and a Grey Wagtail, 70 Teal, 90 Mallard, 1 Pintail, 2 Wigeon and the Wigeon species hybrid, , 2 Mute Swan, 1 Little Grebe, 4 Cormorant, 14 Coot, 6 Gadwall, Grey Heron.

Tack Piece

Juvenile Ruff, 58 Teal and 7 Shoveler, Yellow Wagtails and Meadow Pipits among the cattle.

Long Ground Pool (viewed from Holden Tower)

55 Gadwall, 20 Shoveler, 8 Pintail, 1 Snipe, 1 Green Sandpiper, 37 Teal, 13 Mlaard, 1 Wigeon and a Great Crested Grebe.

South Lake

10 Ruff, 98 Black-tailed Godwit, 35 Redshank, 1 Snipe, 1 Green Sandpiper, 75 Teal, 11 Shoveler, 30 Lapwing, 9 Gadwall, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Pochard, 3 Cormorant.

Top New Piece/Zeiss Hide

80 Teal, 2 Avocet and 2 Black-tailed Godwit.

Bottom New Piece

200 Teal and 15 Wigeon on the flood. 100+ Lapwing and 150+ Barnacle Geese on the field.

Holden Tower

Four Little Egret, 90+ Curlew, Peregrine, Marsh Harrier and 2 Redshank over the tide. Six Cranes and 200 Greylag on the Dumbles.
