A Spotted Flycatcher was an unexpected surprise this morning, perched up on the hunt in the reedbed in front of the Zeiss Hide

A Spotted Flycatcher was an unexpected surprise this morning, perched up on the hunt in the reedbed in front of the Zeiss Hide. At least one of the juvenile Black Tern from yesterday was still on the South Lake this morning.

Zeiss Hide
Counts included 265 Teal, 4 Pintail, 7 Shoveler, 31 Gadwall, 2 Wigeon, 3 juvenile Ruff plus a Bar-headed Goose with Canada Geese

Decoy Hide
Three drake Mandarin were on the pond with 15 Gadwall.

Robbie Garnett Hide
A Redshank was on the Tack Piece this morning with 5 Black-tailed Godwit and a Green Sandpiper.

Rushy Hide
Two Grey Wagtail were on the overflow in front of the hide. Also noted were 3 Snipe plus a few Lapwing and Teal.

South Lake
Along with the juvenile Black Tern on the deep lake other birds noted included good numbers of Black-tailed Godwit, Ruff and Redshank, a juvenile Little-ringed Plover and 2 drake Pochard on the deep lake.
