Estuary Tower
Some movement on the Severn this morning, a flock of 120 Bar-tailed Godwits flew high upriver and a flock of 30 Arctic Tern headed North East among a flock of Black-headed/Common Gulls, small flocks each of 13 Common and 13 Black-headed also passed through, a Yellow Wagtail and single Swallow went NE. At lunchtime a Red Kite flew NE, what was likely another bird through at 2.05pm. A calling Little-ringed Plover flew over and the samll gathering of gulls included a pair of Great Black-backed Gulls that were offering sods of turf to each other, a Peregrine chased a pair of Tufted Duck across the estuary but gave up. A Raven toured the area and 2 Snipe got up from the foreshore.
Catching the end of the ebb tide a mixed flock of two Grey Plover, 28 Ringed Plover and 57 Dunlin were on the salt marsh with 34 Curlew and a single Whimbrel on the Dumbles. The Snow Goose continues with small numbers of Barnacle, Greylag and Canada Geese, the two Barnacle x Canada Geese and Snow x Bar-headed Goose hybrids remain.

South Lake
3cy Mediterranean Gull flew over toward Dumbles, 19 Black-tailed Godwit, the 2cy Goldeneye, 73 Avocet, pair of nesting Cranes and 280 Black-headed Gulls.
Kingfisher Hide
One changeover noted by the Kingfisher pair mid morning. Lapwing and Redshank on the wet field and Great Egret and 7 Little Egret seen on the flood and fields.
