Caspian Gull

A second calendar year Caspian Gull graced the South Lake early afternoon, it arrived with over fifty second calendar year Herring Gulls, it favoured the causeway and rail/fences but also flew off toward the fields. South Lake

A pair each of Great Crested and Little Grebe, 132 Black-headed Gull, the majority thankfully back in the colony after abandonment in last two weeks, 74 Avocet, 4 Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Oystercatcher, 14 Teal, 4 Shoveler, 9 Shelduck, the roaming Common Tern fed here this afternoon and two Cattle Egret dropped in.

Kingfisher Hide and South Finger

Lots of singing Reed and Sedge Warbler.

Rushy Hide

A pair of Little-ringed Plover (nest in protective cage), a pair of nesting Cranes, 9 Teal, 2 female Wigeon + the Chiloe Wigeon hybrid, 21 Avocet, a pair of Shoveler, 4 Gadwall, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, Redshank and 14 Tufted Duck.
