Kingfisher Hide

Another day packed with action from the Kingfishers, lots of nest building, passing of fish from the male and mating. Wont belong before they start to lay so get here as soon as you can.. Lots of Chiffchaffs singing, a couple of Cettis Warblers, over 100 Golden Plover, displaying Lapwings and a couple of Roe Deer to keep you entertained as well.

South Lake

Avocet, Black Tailed Godwits and some displaying Great Crested Grebe and Little Grebe.

Holden Tower

Oystercatchers, Avocets and Redshank on the scrape, a Peregrine distantly in the mist and a Little Ringed Plover from the Robbie Garnett hide. A little Egret on the Martin Smith pools and lots of Crane activity generally at least 12 birds around including both of last years youngsters and the unringed bird.

Zeiss Hide

A magnificent 400+ Black Tailed Godwit, over 60 Avocet and 4 Ruff. Singing Reed Bunting, Cettis and a calling Little Grebe close to the hide

Rushy

Lots of Black Headed Gull activity including a couple of white plastic ringed birds. A nice close group of 15 Redshank and rather unusually a Green Woodpecker flew over.
