The Rushy is buzzing with more Bewicks Swans arrivals overnight.

The open waters of the Rushy and South lake are packed with a good range of Ducks including 284 gyrating Shovelers.

It looks like more Bewick's Swans have arrived over night with 11 birds hanging back from the feed this morning. There were 62 counted yesterday so probably more today.

The European White-Fronted Geese are feeding in fields to the east of the centre with the Bewick's Swans but a new high count of 93 was made this morning when they dropped into the Tack Piece.

A selection of wading birds are hunkered down on the ice. Groups of Black Tailed Godwit, Lapwing, Dunlin, the odd Ruff and a single Little Stint were seen on South lake and Rushy.

A Bittern was showing this morning from the Zeiss Hide.
