The temperatures are high again today.

Zeiss Hide
Two Garganey were seen this morning along with 30 Redshank, three Avocet, two Green Sandpiper, 32 Lapwing, 67 Gadwall, eight Black-tailed Godwit, two Buzzard and 14 Barnacle Geese.

South Lake
The Wood Sandpiper and Spotted Redshank were still present on the wader scrape along with four Little-ringed Plover, 39 Redshank, 15 Ruff, four Green Sandpiper, two Oystercatcher and 15 Black-tailed Godwit.

Estuary Tower
Several Yellow Wagtails were buzzing around the cattle next to the Pillbox Pool this morning. Out on the Dumbles were two Cranes along with 24 Lapwing. A Kingfisher was on the Long Ground Pool.

Robbie Garnett Hide
Three Green Sandpiper and two Common Sandpiper were noted this morning with two Snipe and several Teal on the Tack Piece.

Rushy Hide
A single Dunlin and two Redshank were mixed in with the flock of 262 Black-tailed Godwit (including two juveniles). Three Green Sandpiper were at the back of the lower pond.

Middle Point / Summer Walkway
Before tide came in at lunchtime birds of note included a Great Egret, 263 Curlew, 42 Shelduck (ten juveniles), an adult Mediterranean Gull with the Black-headed Gull and Common Gull flock. A flock of 11 Teal flew in over the estuary with another flock of 16 sat on the rising tide. Six Avocet, six Grey Heron, nine Little Egret and 18 Great Black-backed Gull were to the north. A Marsh Harrier was drifting along the seawall in the north of the reserve.
