High Numbers of Black-tailed Godwit

At least seven hundred Black-tailed Godwit are on the reserve, a good day for "sea" watching on the river and other sightings from the reserve.

Zeiss Hide

A large flock of at least 400 Black-tailed Godwit, 6 Knot, 1 Ruff. Chiffchaff, Reed Bunting and Blackcap were heard singing. 1 Common Tern going upriver and 3 Common Scoter going down on the tide.

Kingfisher Hide

4 Roe Deer (2 Buck and 2 Doe) seen on the Bottom New Piece. 2 pairs of Tufted Duck and 1 pair of Gadwall. The Kingfishers have been seen infrequently this morning.

Tack Piece

1 Marsh Harrier, 10 Redshank, 3 Curlew, 35 Shoveler, 15 Sand Martin, 1 Avocet

Robbie Garnet Hide

4 Little Egret with the cattle.

302 Black-tailed Godwit, 29 Avocet, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Ruff, 1 Knott, 32 Shoveler
