The second calendar year Little Gull appeared again today, it was feeding over the Tack Piece with forays to the Rushy this morning.

Estuary Tower

A smart male Merlin early morning, two Marsh Harriers, 20 Russian White-fronted Geese on Lower Dumbles and 132 on the Severn but moving to Ox Piece, 2 Lapwing, 3 Cranes, 8 Avocet.

South Lake

55 Avocet, 394 Black-tailed Godwit, adult Mediterranean Gull, the usual breeding 'pink blush' Black-headed Gull with the territorial birds, 15 Shoveler.

Tack Piece

Knot, 24 Black-tailed Godwit, drake Pochard, 88 Shoveler, 45 Pintail, 6 Little Egret, 2 Whooper Swan, 1 Bewick's Swan, 1 Ruff, 17 Redshank and 11 Sand Martins and a Buzzard. Reed Buntings and Chiffchaffs singing.

Rushy Hide

Spotted Redshank, 3 Redshank, Pochard, 10 Pintail + 2 Egyptians Geese, Kingfisher flew through.
