Little Gulls

South Lake

Two 2cy Little Gulls present on the deep lake and causeways this afternoon. At least three Mediterranean Gull, 2cy and x2 3cy birds. On the wader scrape- Ruff, 143 Black-tailed Godwit, 38 Avocet (includes two ringed birds, a new yellow flagged bird arrived today), 3 Snipe, 4 Lapwing and 6 Oystercatcher. The male Garganey was seen along with 14 Teal and 16 Shoveler. Male Kingfisher back and forth all day.

Rushy Pen

Ten Avocet, 2 Oystercatcher, Lapwing, 8 pairs of Teal and this 3cy Mediterranean Gull.

Holden Tower

Peregrine, 2 Little-ringed Plover, 2 Swallow, male Wheatear and 12 Lapwing among the birds present today. The Dark-bellied Brent Goose was seen again.

Zeiss Hide

Four Lapwing, small numbers of Teal and Wigeon.

Kingfisher Hide

The male Kingfisher was feeding a female at the nest hole.

Migration

2 Yellow Wagtail and House Martin through. Followign the first yesterday some new Sedge Warblers arrived, one in Tundra Pen/Canoe trail and another in the car par field ditch/Top Hut lane. A male Pintail was new in on Top New Piece.
