Monday 6 December sightings

Canoe Trail

Great White Egret fishing by canoe hut but flew to the Long Ground Pool, it has also been seen in the Matrix (Grounds) early morning.


Bottom New Piece

Ross's Goose with the Barnacle flock + c200 Dunlin.

Top New Piece

Imm Spoonbill roosting on one of the islands, Great White Egret, Bittern, c90 Dunlin, c30 Golden Plover, c 120 Lapwing, 200+ Teal, 370+ Wigeon.

Estuary Tower

Over high tide- at least one Grey Plover, 12 Curlew, 45 Great Black-backed Gull, c70 Dunlin, Redshank, c120 Canada Geese, a few Herring Gull along the foreshore. Two Dark-bellied Brent Geese with the Canda/Barnacle Goose flock on the Lower Dumbles.

Rushy Hide

67 Pintail, 45 m, 11 f Pochard, 50 Bewick's Swans roosted, 280 Canada Geese roosted, single Avocet, 18 Wigeon, c80 Teal, c70 Lapwing and 200+ Tufted Duck, 100+ Shelduck, 250+ Mallard.
