At least 15 Sand Martin were whizzing around the South Lake this morning.

South Lake
A pair of Great Crested Grebe and pair of Little Grebe were on the deep lake this morning with at least 15 Sand Martin whizzing back and forth over the water trying to catch breakfast. Birds on the wader scrape included 51 Shoveler, 219 Black-tailed Godwit and 14 Avocet.

Robbie Garnett Hide
A total of 185 Wigeon were on the Tack Piece along with several Teal and Shoveler, plus a pair of Oystercatcher.

Estuary Tower
Six pairs of Avocet were on the Dumbles scrape with 169 Wigeon, two Redshank and two pairs of Oystercatcher. Also present were a singing Skylark and a few displaying Lapwing despite the murk.

Rushy Hide
Only 3 Avocet were on the lower pond this morning along with 3 Pintail, and 11 Tufted Duck on upper pond.

Zeiss Hide
A count of 71 Avocet came from the Top New Piece.

Kingfisher Hide
The male Kingfisher was sat outside the nest hole this morning with a fish, calling to the female who presumably didn't fancy leaving the nest hole for breakfast given the weather.
