Returning Greenshanks

Two newly arrived Greenshanks, just past their best plumage arrived on the Top New Piece.

No reports of the male White-spotted Bluethroat to 2pm today despite many observers being present.

Top New Piece

Two breeding plumage Greenshank, one male Ruff (same was on South Lake earlier in the day), 77 Lapwing (a post breeding gathering included four juveniles), 7 Redshank (2 juveniles), a Crane, 9 Teal, a juvenile Yellow Wagtail was with 4 Pied Wagtail.

Tack Piece

6 Green Sandpiper, 2 Oystercatcher, 3 Teal and 4 Lapwing.

Estuary Tower

210+ Starling feeding with the cattle.

Rushy Hide

14 Teal, Avocet, 2 Lapwing and a flock of Gadwall.

South Lake

Six male Ruff (one moved to Top New Piece), two Spotted Redshank, two Spoonbill but moved off, 146 Black-tailed Godwit, 50 Redshank, 3 Oystercatcher, 2 Lapwing, 14 Teal, 2 Great Crested and Little Grebe, male Pochard, the male Chiloe Wigeon hybrid on its short moult migration from the Rushy.
