* The second part of the seasonal habitat work and general maintenance tasks begin on the Rushy, it will continue to Friday and likely into next week with subsequent work part days during October. We need to prepare for winter visiting birds and finish up the late season hay cuts to promote wild flower growth for pollinating insects. Other tasks include coppicing, clearing pipes, cleaning windows, gutter repairs, cleaning the web cam, compost heap management, weeding islands, strimming islands and causeways and more*
