Spoonbill and a few passage birds

Passage

A Brambling flew over Estuary heading NE, our first Sanderling of the year was on the rising tide with 20 Dunlin, a Grey Plover was also seen with 6 Ringed Plover on the far 'saltpan' pool on the Dumbles. Four Little-ringed Plover were seen again, this time flying over the restaurant patio toward the Rushy, these may be territorial birds that haven't yet settled. Twelve Pintail were on the incoming tide.

South Lake

Male and two female Goldeneye, 28 Shoveler, 16 Teal, 2 drake and 1 female Pochard, 85 Avocet, 34 Black-tailed Godwit, Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Grebe, 120 Black-headed Gull. Nine Cattle and two Little Egret at lunctime.

Five Snipe, 19 Avocet, 4 Redshank (display), 14 + 2 Golden Plover over, 92 Teal, 7 Lapwing, 40 Wigeon.

Estuary Tower

Brambling over NE, 195 Russian and 3 Greenland White-fronted Geese, 2 Pink-footed Geese, 21 Golden Plover, 17 Curlew and 4 Avocet + singing Chiffchaffs.

Tack Piece

Sub adult Spoonbill, three Snow Geese, 130 Wigeon, Curlew, 21 Shoveler, 13 Teal and 2 Great White and single Little Egret.

Rushy Hide

11 Avocet, 6 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Oystercatcher.

Kingfisher Hide

Kingfisher again digging at nest hole.

Glossy Ibis still on entrance fields.
