Robbie Garnett Hide
The Ruddy Shelduck was on the Tack Piece this morning, also four Redshank. The Reed Warbler family were near the hide and a Lesser Whitethroat was seen.

Kingfisher Hide
An adult Crane and at least one chick were in the Bottom New Piece this morning. There are lots of singing warblers along the walkway.

Zeiss Hide
A total of 74 adult Avocet were on the scrape along with at least eight Redshank, 12 Shoveler plus a brood, 28 Lapwing, 26 Teal, a Yellow Wagtail and 34 Gadwall.

South Lake
There were 48 adult Avocet and 40 chicks on the wader scrape. The Little-ringed Plover continues to incubate in the nesting cage and a second pair have now laid on the Duck Marsh, viewed from the Hogarth Hide - a nest cage has been placed here too under license. Also noted were a pair of Oystercatcher with 2 chicks, a singing Cuckoo was heard, and the Great Crested Grebe was on tthe deep lake with two chicks. A Kingfisher flew through.

Summer Walkway / Middle Point
Counts from the end of the Summer Walkway included 100 Shelduck, 19 Curlew and a few groups of large gulls on the mudlfats south of point, 67 Shelduck, 70 Black-headed Gull and 18 Curlew north of the point (The Noose). Flock of Barnacle Geese on the saltmarsh and plenty of Skylark activity.

Rushy Hide
Four Green Sandpiper, 47 Black-tailed Godwit, Little-ringed Plover, 2 Oystercatcher, 5 Teal, 15 Gadwall, brood of Pied Wagtails with parents.
