Today's highlights

The site Avocet flock increased to 49 individuals, they began the day on the South Lake but moved to the Top New Piece where they fed in the waves.

Estuary Tower

Another rather windblown day combined with a high morning tide pushed 92 Shelduck onto the Dumbles, 5 Oystercatcher, 66 Canada and 154 Barnacle Geese, the Bar-headed and Snow x Bar-headed Goose was with them. 123 Wigeon on the scrape. 790 Wigeon were joined by flocks of Teal and a few Pintail.

Tack Piece

150+ Curlew, 63 Redshank, 327 Black-tailed Godwit,12+ Ruff (included the leg flagged bird) and 2 Oystercatcher.

South Lake

74 Shoveler, c40 Pochard, 2 Oystercatcher.

Zeiss Hide/Top New Piece

45 Avocet, 240 Wigeon, 90 Teal, 11 Canada Geese and 8 Greylag

Rushy Hide

The lone Bewick's Swan (Navalny) remained with 100+ Pochard and c40 Pintail.
