South Finger Reedbed
A pair of Common Tern were fishing on the pool at the end of the reedbed this morning.

Kingfisher Hide
We think the Kingfisher pair are now back incubating eggs, so hopefully a second brood to come in the future. A Cuckoo was singing from south of the hide. In the Bottom New Piece were a pair of Redshank keeping their eye on the nearby Great White Egret. and two male Roe Deer were grazing in the field.

Zeiss Hide
A pair of Little-ringed Plover were on the mud this morning with 10 Black-tailed Godwit, 17 Avocet and 5 Redshank plus a Grey Heron on the scrape. A Great White Egret was stalking the back ditch much to the disapproval of the Redshank nesting nearby. A drake Garganey entering eclipse plumage was still present along with 60 Shelduck, 10 Gadwall and 5 Shoveler.

South Lake
A Little-ringed Plover was on the mud from the Hogarth Hide, whilst over on the wader scrape were 62 Black-tailed Godwit and 2 Avocet. A pair of Great Crested Grebe were displaying on deep lake from the Discovery Hide.

Rushy Hide
Waders on the lower pond included 45 Avocet and 3 Black-tailed Godwit. Also on the upper pond were 3 drake Shoveler along with 5 arguing Oystercatcher.

Middle Point
Looking south across the mudflats this morning at low tide were the second calendar Spoonbill, two Cranes, a single Grey Plover, 4 Grey Heron, a Little Egret, two pairs of Oystercatcher including one pair with 2 chicks, 9 Ringed Plover, 14 Dunlin, two Sanderling, 5 Lapwing, 5 Avocet, two Curlew and 7 Sanderling on main channel.
