Summer Walkway
The Summer Walkway remains closed whilst we continue work to improve access for wheelchairs and create a new habitat corridor. The route will remain unchanged when we reopen, hopefully in the next week or two. The Reserve Team have begun erecting the new fencing and whilst working out here noted at least 10 Swift feeding over the Dumbles along with two Kestrel on the hunt. Three Yellow Wagtail flew over toward cattle on the Top New Piece (viewed from the Zeiss Hide) and the Spoonbill is still with us and was roosting on spartina island over high tide.

South Lake
The flock of Black-tailed Godwit was 230 birds strong with an impressive 70 Redshank also present. Two male Ruff were joined by a third mid-morning and also noted were 7 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher along with an adult Little-ringed Plover with four chicks.
