Holden Tower - Mega flock of duck out on the estuary today, cold conditions have frozen out birds from some of their normal feeding areas to gather here. A count of 1016 Pintail, 3000 Wigeon, 500 Teal and 174 Shoveler were the highlights of a great spectacle.

The Rushy - 2 Greater Scaup (both females), 120 Bewicks Swan, 210 Greylag Geese, 106 Canada Geese, 136 Shelduck, 43 Coot, 94 Pintail, Tufted Duck 151 male, 105 female, 178 Pochard, 295 Mallard.

Tack Piece - 861 Wigeon, 448 Teal, 42 Redshank, 61 Pintail, 1800 Lapwing, 700 Golden Plover, 106 Curlew, 6 Ruff, 23 Shoveler, 28 Shelduck.

Kingfisher Hide - 5 Greenland White-fronted Geese, 117 European White-fronted Geese, 2 Common Crane (GCP), 1 Little Egret, 1 Water Rail.

South Lake - 4 Common Snipe, 1 Avocet, 3 Common Crane (GCP), 14 Cormorant, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 148 Tufted Duck, 16 Black-tailed Godwit, 329 Lapwing, 2 Grey Heron.

Grounds - 1 Kingfisher, 301 Mallard, 251 Moorhen, 128 Coot, 197 Tufted Duck, 157 Mute Swan, 1 Oystercatcher (Big Pen/South Lake), 1 Nuthatch.
