Beer and bat night
Join our reserve team for an evening bat walk and enjoy learning about these fascinating mammals.
Learn about British bat species and the variety of work we do to help them thrive here at Washington. Enjoy a chat with our reserve team as you sip a refreshing ale (or Ginger ale!).
We'll then head out for an evening walk to Hollowood and the reservoir where we'll search for bats using hand-held bat detectors to pick up the presence of different species.
Dates and times: Saturday 14 September - 6.45pm start / Wednesday 18 & Sunday 22 September - 6.30pm start (8.30pm approx. finish)
Cost: £15pp (members and non-members). After-hours admission to WWT Washington Wetland Centre is included as part of this event - visitors vising throughout the day will need to purchase admission separately - please note we cannot allow visitors to walk around site before the bat walk starts.
What you'll need: Please bring a torch along with you and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
