Artist Martin Gibbons features in the gallery this July and August
Our gallery will be home to the work of Martin Gibbons this summer, enjoy his work whilst you are in the visitor centre and find the perfect picture to take home.
Martin's work will be on display in the gallery throughout July and August.
Martin in his own words:
My passion is field sketching and I’m never happier than when out with my scope and binoculars.
I love the light on the birds and the angular positions they take and make gestural drawings to try and catch these shapes and the light.
I love the rugged beauty of the countryside and landscape, the seas, the mountains, moorland and marsh.
My work is mainly field sketches and with most of it done on my knees sometimes under an umbrella.
I mainly use pencil and watercolour but enjoy other drawing mediums such as pastel, coloured pencils, charcoal.
