Reserve access improving
Water levels have dropped on the Ouse Washes allowing access to some of the hides on the reserve. Check the wildlife sightings page for which hides this includes and whether wellies are required.

Swans begin their winter migrations
Autumn migration is upon us with more whooper swan arrivals, along with wigeon, teal, golden plover and fieldfare and news of the Bewick's swans now on their way.

Welney whooper swan update
One of our Welney-fledged whooper swans has made it a little further north with a sighting coming in from the beach at Aberdeen. 'ZAN' has been spotted by Ian and Robin Jackson, Ian took this photo of ZAN and has sent it in to us.
