Celebrity Dusty Duck Trail arrives at WWT Welney
This week the Celebrity Dusty Duck Trail has arrived at WWT Welney, ready for visitors to enjoy from Sat 16 September until Sun 29 October.
World famous Aardman studios designed Dusty Duck to celebrate WWT’s 70th anniversary and this Autumn, Dusty, along with his 14 celebrity-designed Dustys will be on show at the centre.
The six-foot-tall Celebrity Dusty Ducks include Steve Backshall’s Explorer Dusty, Joanna Lumley’s Absolutely Fabulous Patsy Dusty and Justin Fletcher's Pirate Justy Dusty.
After the success of the GIANT LEGO® Brick Animal Trail this summer, in encouraging people from the local area to visit and explore the centre and reserve, we hope that this trail will inspire more people to come and visit for the first time.
The fibreglass Dusty models are located between our main hide and the pond dipping stations so that they are easily accessible for families. There is more to see on the reserve with hides, dragonfly ponds and summer walk beyond the extent of the trail. We appreciate that some of our regular visitors to WWT Welney might find the Celebrity Dusty Duck trail quite unusual, which is another reason we have not located the trail around the whole reserve. We hope that everyone can enjoy time spent on the reserve this autumn.
