Increased reserve access

Hare by David Featherbe
Hare by David Featherbe

Water levels have dropped well enough to now re-open most of the footpaths.  Wellies are needed to get to Nelson-Lyle, Lyle and Friends hides.  The only hide still not accessible is our Reedbed hide.

The Welney Wash Road section of the A1101 is now open; diversions are not needed to be followed at present.

Lady Fen (the wetlands viewed from the visitor centre) is looking spectacular at the moment, with hundreds of swans at close range, lapwing, redshank, ruff, black-tailed godwit and shelduck in amongst them.

There are only a few spaces left on the hare walk tomorrow, so please ring the centre to make sure you don't miss out on this.
