Bruce Liggitt is local to Welney enjoying taking photos of wildlife and birds. His work has featured in magazines such as Countryside, British Farmer & Grower, and he was interviewed by BBC showcasing his photographs of wildlife in the fens.

Bruce in his own words:

Bruce Liggitt was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in Zambia and Malawi where he developed his passion for wildlife. Bruce has travelled extensively in Africa and, having moved to the UK twenty years ago, now works in international policy and advocacy for a charity trying to save the world’s special places. In a desire to share the wonders of nature, Bruce started taking photographs of wildlife and birds, and about ten years ago a short photography course inspired him to take his photography to the next level. He joined the Ely Photographic Club where he has enjoyed sharing his interest with their highly acclaimed wildlife photographers and enjoys participating in the Club’s regular competitions and exhibitions. As a resident of Ely, Bruce frequently visits WWT Welney to enjoy the ever-changing wildlife through the seasons. Bruce’s photographs have appeared in magazines such as Countryside, British Farmer & Grower, and he was interviewed by BBC Look East (and website) which showcased some of his photographs of wildlife in the fens.
