Incredible insects
Goat moth caterpillar by Louise Clewley Goat moth caterpillars are more visible on the reserve at the moment as they move from willow to willow or as the final stage caterpillars look for somewhere to bury themselves

Management works

Todays Highlights
Today we had a few great sightings. A swallow cross house martin is flying around the main observatory it mainly looks like a house martin but has a red chest. Does that make it a Smartin? Also onsite we have 60 Canada geese 2 of them have neck collars

Management works
Today there will be some disturbance in front of the Friends hide as management works are carried out. But there is plenty of bird activity in front of the Lyle hide this morning and the dragonfly ponds and summer walk at the opposite end of the reserve
