Bewick's by Richard Dunn This morning we had an early start with our penultimate swans awake event. Walking up to the Lyle and Friends hides gave the best views of the whooper and Bewick's swans waking up and flying

Daily sightings
Another lovely day out on the Ouse Washes today, there was a definite feeling of spring in the air with great crested grebes, coots and goldeneyes all displaying away. There's a lot of Bewick's and whoopers loafing about on the reserve during the day too

Today's highlights
A beautiful day at WWT Welney today. Plenty of hares boxing in the sunshine. The day ended with a fantastic sunset lots of visitors enjoyed the swans flight in at Friend's hide this is the best place to see the Bewick's swans flying in. todays highlights

A beautiful day out on the washes today the wind has dropped dramatically making it very pleasant. We had lots of activity on the Hare walks including Boxing and some great close up views. Hare Walks 16 hares Barn owl Shelduck Dunlin Lapwing Redshank St

Todays highlights
Around the visitor centre this morning the water rail has been visible at the edge of the pond, a weasel just caught a small mammal (probably a bank or field vole) and kestrels and barn owls have been out hunting.

Todays Highlights - Snow Goose
The wind has dropped a lot today, the swans are coming nice and close and feeding out of the wheelbarrow during the swan feeds. Nelson-lyle hide and Lyle hide are accessible with wellies only at the moment as the waterlevels have come up slightly. The M
