It feels like the start of spring again this morning, with wading birds calling across the reserve and plenty of ducks still on all the pools displaying to one another. On Saturday we had our first garganey of the year spotted from Lyle hide.
We've got an extra on the reserve this morning, a young seal sunning itself on the banks of the Hundred Foot Drain, viewable from the footbridge to the reserve. We think it is a common seal rather than a grey seal.
