All roads open. Everyone can access Nelson-Lyle, walking boots or wellies to Lyle, Friends and Reedbed hide closed for now. Water levels have now peaked on the Ouse Washes. Lady Fen trails closed for breeding season - due to re-open July. Wetland views from the cafe until then.

Webs Count Tuesday 19th

Latest Webs count was made on Tuesday 19th December, conditions were foggy which made it difficult to count, numbers are actual birds seen at the time of the count.

Bewick's swan - 72 (These are just the birds that stayed on the reserve all day, there are still over 1,000 on the Ouse Washes, most of whom spend their day in the arable fields)
Whooper swan - 75 (These are just the birds that stayed on the reserve all day, there are still over 6,000 on the Ouse Washes, most of whom spend their day in the arable fields)
