Novices & pros will enjoy Arundel Birdwatching Weekend
WWT Arundel Wetland Centre and Viewpoint Optics announce the first Arundel Birdwatching Weekend on March 23 & 24. The weekend of infomation and workshops boasts exhibitors like Zeiss Sports Optics, Swarovski, Manfrotto, and Opticron.
Sponsored by Viewpoint Optics, Arundel Birdwatching Weekend will suit beginners looking to get a head-start in bird watching through to experienced wildlife photographers. Displays of binoculars and telescopes, camera equipment and outdoor essentials from local retailers and supporters of the centre will be located throughout the visitors centre and outbuildings around the reserve.
For those looking to take up bird watching for the first time, Viewpoint Optics (a Corporate Partner of Arundel Wetland Centre) will be running bird watching workshops during the weekend – and for more advanced birdwatchers, there are digiscoping demonstrations with an outdoor optics testing area. The six bird hides in a variety of habitats provide great opportunities to put it all into practice around the reserve.
Arundel Wetland Centre introduces visitors to the wonders of wetland birds and their habitats, offering stunning scenery and nose-to-beak encounters with some of the world’s most dramatic and rare birds. The Wetland Discovery Boat Safari will run from between 11am-3:30pm each day. Watch the Diving Duck Feed at 2 pm daily or hand feed the collection of wildfowl from around the world with grain available from the shop.
