Cattle Egret and Green-winged Teal
Some of the highlights from this lovely crisp and clear morning include the drake Green-winged teal spotted on the Top New Piece from Zeiss Hide.
Tack Piece
Looked very busy this morning with high numbers of 1500 grazing wigeon, 500 Golden Plover and 150 Black-tailed Godwits. 3 Snipe were spotted from the Martin Smith hide also. The White-fronted and Pink-footed geese can be seen to the north of the reserve from the Estuary Tower.
2 Water Rail were showing at the Willow Hide.
Top New Piece
Within the large flock of around 500 Teal, a single Green-winged teal can be spotted. 420 Wigeon, Lapwing, Dunlin and a Cetti's Warbler have been seen as well as 1 Golden Plover.
South Lake
The Cattle Egret has been seen this morning from South Lake.
