Double Richard's Pipits

Middle Point/Summer Walkway

This was the final day of opening until Spring 2020, we need to allow the area to quieten down and allow wintering birds to return to the Tack Piece and that part of the Dumbles. We managed an extended season this year as we still had various habitat creating and seasonal work tasks to complete but the wild birds are itching to get back in on the floods. We hope you enjoyed it this year with the new Slimbridge 2020 additions and access path.

A brace of Richard's Pipits was discovered on the seawall in the Goose House Ground late morning. They remained in the vicinity for the rest of the day, at times they were in the company of Meadow Pipit and Skylarks. A good way to sign off for the year.
