Exhibit by Photo Artist Tony Mills opens at WWT Arundel
An exhibit of works by photo artist Tony Mills opened in the visitor centre building of WWT Arundel Wetland Centre on Fri 1 Sept. The exhibit runs through Oct 31.
Tony worked as a Research Scientist in Cambridge and used photography as a way to switch off from his work. He is now retired he focuses on his photography full-time.
Works from three of Tony’s current project themes are on display on the gallery wall of the centre. In one series Tony uses pen & ink on giclée photographic prints to produce mixed media images to enhance the texture or abstract the original image. These latest works are presented here as either original works or open edition giclée prints or canvases.
Tony’s "Nature in action" series portrays movement and behaviour in natural subjects. “I use the extra dimension of Time in my 2D work to depict bird flight or action through photo montaging or using slow shutter speeds” says Tony.
The “Spotted” series represents the fleeting glimpses one sees animals in the wild. Nature in Action and Spotted prints are all giclée prints and either limited editions or open editions. All of the works on display are available for purchase.
