Latest Sightings
In the past week quite a few waders have been spotted on the mere, including 5 avocets, some redshank, a curlew, and several ruffs and black-tailed godwits, some of which are starting to develop their summer plumage!
There have been some notable sightings made at Ron Barker hide too, including 2 great white egrets, 2 little egrets, a peregrine, and even a green sandpiper, and at Janet Kear hide we have been getting good numbers of greenfinch, goldfinch, and chaffinch lately, along with plenty of blue tits and great tits.
