Rushy Hide/Peng Observatory

The female Goldeneye remained on the pond for the day. A new single parent Bewick's Swan family arrived today taking the total to 87 on site.

Martin Smith Hide

At least 7 Snipe on the cut rush islands.

Tack Piece

12 Ruff this morning with a few Redshank on the scrape. The Bewick's Swans sepnt th eday here with flocks of Wigeon, Shoveler, Curlew, Lapwing, Dunlin and Teal.

Estuary Tower

The Merlin made another appearance at 0830am, once again along the Dumbles foreshore/Middle Point area. A Buzzard was seen in the same place with Peregrine on the cross fence. Marsh Harrier was seen distantly a few times to the North and put up the Golden Plover Lapwing and Dunlin. The 8 Pink-footed Geese were seen all day with Bar-headed Goose and the Snow x Bar-headed Goose in the Barnacle and Canada Goose flocks. A Raven and Little Egret were on the spartina island with 100s of duck on the Severn.

The Russian White-fronted Geese were in the Goose House Ground today.

South Lake

Gadwall, Pochard, Tufted Duck, Shoveler, Shelduck, Teal and Mallard all present with 5 Cormorants, 7 Snipe, 250+ Black-tailed Godwit also seen.
