Ospreys on the nest in the sunshine
In the sunshine and bitterly cold East wind, this morning has been all about DIY on the nest . Both male and female birds have been bringing in sticks and grass to line the nest.
Thankfully with this dry weather the grass is dry and fluffy, not like last year when the nest was a soggy mess for most of the season.
It is definitely our male from last season with a faded yellow ring with 08 in black characters. I am 95% sure it is our resident female bird but would like to see pics from this year and last year side by side to be 100%.
However the amount of hours spent looking at the birds over the years my instinct tells me it is our bird.
