Recent sightings - 10th February

The following sightings were recorded today by Toni Castello, warden, at low tide.

Estuary

Brent geese 20, Shelduck 150, Black-tailed godwit 5, Oystercatcher 250, Curlew 25,  Redshank 40, Dunlin 7,  Lesser black-backed gull 2, Black-headed gull 25. The Spoonbill has being regularly spotted throughout the week.

Main lake - visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre

Mallard 100, Black-headed gull 35, Tufted duck 20, Gadwall 17, Coot 3.

Wadermarsh - visible from Wadermarsh lookout and Brent Hide

Oystercatcher 2, Black-tailed godwit 1, Redshank 2.

Freshwater Lagoon - visible from Brent Hide and Crannog

Coot 3, Grey Heron 1.

Saline Lagoon - visible from Limekiln observatory

Black-tailed godwit 1, Redshank 1, Little grebe 2, Black-headed gull 1.

Limestone Lake

Mallard 2,  Little grebe 1, Cormorant 1.
