The following sightings were recorded today by Toni Castello, warden, at high tide.
Main lake - visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre
Mallard +100, Tufted duck 13, Coot 2, Greylag 10 in the water + 36 in flight, Gadwall 1, Black-headed gull 15, Little grebe 1.
Wadermarsh - visible from Wadermarsh lookout and Brent Hide
Black-headed gull 10.
Freshwater lagoon - visible from Brent Hide and Crannog
Mallard 11, Mute swan 1, Coot 2.
Saline Lagoon - visible from Limekiln observatory
Little grebe 3, Little egret 1.
Estuary – visible from Brent hide and Limekiln observatory
Black-headed gull 25, Oystercatcher +150, Curlew 5, Mute swan 2, Eider +50, Grey seal 12.
