Recent Sightings

Sightings from the 11^th November have included:

• 307 Whooper Swans (some with cygnets) on Estuary.
• Kingfisher was seen on the Main Lake, along with 213 Mallard, 14 Tufted Ducks, 40 Greylag Geese, 1 Coot, 1 Shelduck, 1 Little Egret and 1 Heron.
• Slavonian Grebe seen from the Pier (Limekiln Hide).
• Saline Lagoon – 2 Little Grebe, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Little Egret and 1 Cormorant.
• Peninsula Salt Marsh – 6 Oystercatchers, 1 Curlew, 1 Little Egret, 1 Redshank and 2 Hooded Crows.
• Wader Marsh – 3 Redshanks, 1 Greenshank and 1 Curlew.
• Less than 5,000 Brent are left on the Lough.
