Recent Sightings 4th September 2017

The following sightings were recorded today from the reserve at Castle Espie - good count on the Estuary this morning!

Estuary - visible from the Brent Hide and the Limekiln Observatory

339 Oystercatcher, 12 Black-headed gull, 9 Cormorant, 162 Lesser black-backed gulls, 5 Curlew, 30 Eider, 12 Black-tailed godwit, 85 Brent geese, 12 Little egret, 1 Greenshank, 14 Redshank, 2 Herring gull

Main lake - visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre

160 Mallard, 7 Black-headed gull, 1 Coot, 1 Tufted duck

Wader marsh - visible from Wader marsh lookout and Brent Hide

2 Moorhen, 2 Lesser black-backed gull

Freshwater Lagoon - visible from Brent Hide and Crannog

78 Mallard, 3 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 1 Tufted duck, 1 Moorhen

Saline Lagoon - visible from Lime Kiln Observatory
