Recent Sightings
Recent sightings from 7 June 2013 included:
- Main Lake – 19 Tufted Ducks, 6 Shelducks, 40 Black Tailed Godwits on the grassbank
- Fresh Water Lagoon – 1 Sandwich Tern, 6 Tufted Ducks and 2 Greylags
- Saline Lagoon – 60 Black Headed Gulls and 3 Tufted Ducks
- Cowslip, Marsh Marigold and Cuckoo Flower have been spotted around the reserve
- Limestone lake – 2 Little Grebes and 3 Tufted Ducks
- Peninsula Salt Marsh - 1 Shelduck
- Swallow nesting in the Crannog
- House Martins nesting at the front of the house (Gallery)
- Great, Blue and Coal Tits, Chaffinches, Robins and Blackbirds using the feeders at the shop and courtyard
- Clutches of Mallard can be seen around the reserve
