A cold and icy morning here at Castle Espie. The following sightings were recorded today as the tide was coming in:
Estuary – visible from the Brent Hide and the Limekiln Observatory

Main lake – visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre
Cormorant 4, Oystercatcher 2, Tufted duck 8, Greylag 1, Mallard 104, Gadwall 2, Moorhen 5, Coot 2, Black-headed gull 11
Wader marsh – visible from the lookout and the Brent Hide
Mallard 5, Coot 1, Black-headed gull 12, Teal 13, Moorhen 7, Curlew 1
Freshwater Lagoon – visible from Brent Hide and Crannóg
