Recent Sightings
Recent sightings from 25 August 2013 include:
- Estuary - 40 Black Tailed Godwits, 600 Oystercatchers, 6 Teal and 8 Gadwall
- Main Lake - 4 Mute Swans, 9 Wigeon, 21 Teal, 240 Mallard, 1 Heron, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Pintail, 14 Greylags, 8 Gadwalls and 1 Little Grebe
- Dragonflies spotted on reserve - Common Hawker
- Butterflies - Peacock, Large and Small Whites and Common Blues
- Wader Marsh - 2 Greenshanks, 100 Redshanks, 1 Curlew, 5 Shelducks and 1 Teal
- Fresh Water Lagoon - 1 Heron, 7 Mute Swans, 9 Gadwalls, 1 Curlew and 1 Little Grebe
- 22 Oystercatchers on the Peninsula Field
Don't forget to keep an eye out for the return of the Brent Geese, they are just about due!!!
