The following sightings were recorded today at low tide from the reserve at Castle Espie.
Estuary – visible from the Brent Hide and the Limekiln Observatory
Brent Geese ~200, Shelduck 81, Wigeon 1, Little Egret 9, Black-headed Gull 13, Curlew 1, Lesser Black-backed Gull 1, Oystercatcher 6, Redshank 16
Main lake – visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre
Mallard 220, Coot 2, Moorhen 3, Black-headed Gull 6, Tufted Duck 32, Greylag 70
Wader marsh – visible from Wader marsh lookout and Brent Hide
Black-headed Gull 3, Moorhen 8, Black-tailed Godwit 1
Freshwater Lagoon – visible from Brent Hide and Crannog

Saline Lagoon – visible from Lime Kiln Observatory
