From the 5th June sightings on the main lake included 30 Tufted ducks, 3 Greylags, 3 Gadwalls, 1 Teal, 7 Mute Swans, 5 Shelducks. On the Limestone lake 2 Little Grebes were spotted. On the Freshwater Lagoon there was 3 Shelduck with 7 ducklings, 2 Gadwalls, 6 Wigeon and a number of Tuft Ducks.
House Martins swooping low over carpark. Goldcrest in Sustainable Garden with Sledge Warbler and Reed Buntings heard at the viewpoint in the woodland.
Sightings on the Wader Marsh included 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 7 Gadwalls, 5 Shelduck. The Saline Lagoon had 3 Sandwich Terns. Black Headed Gulls colony protecting their young.
Insects spotted in the woodland included – Orange Tip Butterflies also 2 large Whites, Common Blues also Damselfly.
Plant update
Wetland - Yellow flag Iris, Milfoil Bog-bean, Water forget-me-nots, Ragged Robin and Bog Asphodel.
Grassland – Oxeye daisy, Red Campion, Speedwells, Scarlet Pimpernel, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Yellow Rattle, lesser Trefoil, Camomile, Herb Roburt.
