Kingfisher hide
The two Kingfishers were seen regularly bringing fish to their burrow to feed young and Cetti, Sedge and Reed warblers were singing in the Reed beds not far away.
Top New Piece
Also visible from the Kingfisher hide on the Top new piece, was Sherbert the Crane, taking their chicks for a swim off the island where they hatched.
Tack Piece
Three Turnstones in their breeding plumage, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 18 Dunlin, and 2 Ringed Plover. Also from the Robbie Garnett Hide 87 Black-tailed godwit, 17 Avocet, a Sedge warbler singing, 3 Egyptian Geese, and a nice mixture of duck and geese. In the morning 50+ Sand and House Martin and in the afternoon up to 100 were seen over the water.
South Lake
From Discovery and Hogarth Hides, 13 Black-tailed godwit, 22 Avocet, and a pair of Med Gull were sitting tight on the left Island Gull colony. Swifts were also visible in the fields beyond South Lake.

Middle Point
The male White-spotted Bluethroat was seen a couple of times from the Shepard’s Hut despite the overcast weather. The Lesser whitethroat was singing as well as a Grasshopper warbler, Reed and Sedge Warbler, Reed Bunting, and a few Swallow.
Estuary Tower
On the Long ground pool there were 7 Tufted Duck. On the Scrape there were 4 Tufted Duck, 4 Shelduck, 2 Shoveler and 2 Gadwell. On the Dumbles There was a Whimbrel, 4 Curlew, Oystercatcher, and Skylark.
